LONDON – On June 18th, the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE) and the Embassy of Israel in London will host "Israel Opportunity 2009". Now in its ninth year, the conference offers an opportunity for British and internationals investors and analysts to learn about the exciting investment opportunities available in the Israeli market. The keynote speaker at the conference will be Prof. Stanley Fischer, Governor of the Bank of Israel. Prof. Fischer previously held posts including Chief Economist of the World Bank from 1988 to 1990, and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund between 1994 and 2001. Five of the leading TASE-listed companies will give presentations and hold one-on-one meetings with investors. Dr. Orna Berry, Chairperson of the Israel Venture Association and former Chief Scientist of Israel’s Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment, will review recent developments in Israel’s Hi-tech.
