Once a quarter, companies publish statements presenting their financial situation (including their balance sheet, statement of profit or loss and cash flows), as well as information on the challenges they face and their plans for the future. Once a year, the companies publish a more elaborate annual report.
It should be noted that small entities that have not issued bonds to the public, are permitted to publish financial statements every six months, and are therefore exempt from publishing financial statements for the first quarter and the third quarter of every calendar year. Those entities may also choose to publish financial statements in the first and the third quarters. Information concerning the frequency of reporting is available on the “Company Details” page, which specifies whether the company has elected to utilize the exemption and therefore publishes semi-annual financial statements in the format applicable to an exempt small entity.
