The portfolio's total yield is the cumulative product of the portfolio's daily yields from the moment of its creation until the end of the previous trading day.
The portfolio's daily yield is calculated by weighting the daily yields of its various component holdings.
The holding gain of a particular security is calculated by weighting the holding's daily yields.
Please note: As long as the trading day has not ended - the value of a transaction can be corrected without affecting the historical total return.
If the transaction is incorrect and a trading day has passed - the value of the transaction can be corrected, the historical return will be recalculated based on the updated data entered by the user.
The daily yield of a security:
- Daily yields for securities – are calculated only if units/actions have been entered for the security
- The calculation is performed for each security separately by the difference between the estimated price of that day and the previous day.
- The estimated security price is the end-of-day price, updated according to company events such as split, dividend, interest, etc.
- On days when the user enters a transaction for a security in the portfolio, the difference between the price entered by the user and the estimated price of the security is added to its intraday yields. Intraday yields (for a buy/sell transaction executed on the same trading day) will not be calculated as part of the total yield.
- A security for which transactions have been entered and which remains in the portfolio for more than one day, the daily yield of the holding will be calculated as part of the total yield.
- If transactions have been entered for a security – and the security is deleted from the portfolio after more than one day – the daily yields recorded in the past will not change and will be part of the total yield calculation.
In the TASE+ system yields are calculated by TipRanks based on user-entered holdings and security price data.
